Come join us in the mountainous region of Boulder, Colorado for our Kick Global Warming Adult Soccer Showdown in June of 2008. Have some fun on the fields while staying in one of the most beautiful and environmentally friendly cities in the nation.

ABOUT TOURNAMENT WEEKEND:

The Colorado Rapids U-23 USL/ PDL soccer team, along with Boulder Indoor Soccer, is very excited to hold its first annual Kick Global Warming Adult Soccer Showdown in June of 2008.

The tournament will be taking place in one of the most environmentally conscious cities in the nation; therefore, teams will be "Going Green" both on and off the field by offsetting their travel costs to Boulder. Natural Habitat Adventure will offset the travel costs of teams to get to Boulder and the carbon footprint for every team that joins us in the tournament (i.e. gas expenses, hotel, field maintenance, etc.).

This is a great opportunity for local and travel teams alike to come together and help in Boulder's efforts to Kick Global Warming while also having some good ol' fashion soccer fun. That same weekend, there will also be a Colorado Rapids MLS game and a couple of Colorado Rapids U-23 PDL games at the same soccer complex as the Tournament. All Tournament players will receive free tickets to the Colorado Rapids U-23 games.

SOCCER TOURNAMENT DETAILS:

This will be a two day tournament that will take place from Saturday June 21st to Sunday June 22nd. Team check-in will be held on Friday night at Boulder Indoor Soccer from 5-10PM. We will be accepting registration from local teams as well as out of state teams prior to team check-ins.

Cost: $500 Per Team

The tournament will take place at the Pleasant View Soccer Complex, and will consist of:

• 11v11 against a friendly competitor
• Three games guaranteed
• Two 30 min. halves per game (60 min. total)
• Prizes for division winners and runners up

TOURNAMENT PRIZES:

The champions for each division will receive a team trophy, championship shirts, and free beer for everyone on the team from our beer sponsor (limited drinks per team). The runners-up will also receive a Team Trophy.

TOURNAMENT DIVISIONS INCLUDE:

• Men's Open
• Men's Over 40
• Women's
• Coed
• Total of 48 teams (12 teams per division)

THINGS TO DO TOURNAMENT WEEKEND:

The weekend of the tournament there will be two Colorado Rapids U-23 USL/ PDL games at the Pleasant View fields. Upon registration for the tournament, each team will receive 15 free tickets for either of these games. The first game is on Saturday, June 21st at 5:00PM, and the second game is on Sunday, June 22nd at 2:00PM. There will also be a Rapids game taking place on Saturday, June 21st at 7:30PM at the Dick's Sporting Goods Park. Teams can purchase the Rapids tickets at the tournament.
